The growth of Oak Grove's district, plus an increase in motor vehicle accidents led to the decision in 1997 to begin designs on a new truck for the department. It was decided that the truck should be able to serve numerous purposes and to ultimately eliminate some vehicles. 333 is a 1999 GMC Top Kick Rescue Pumper/Tanker with a 1250 GPM Hale Pump, just like its predecessor, Engine 333. In the rescue line, it transports the department's Hurst Rescue Tools, and rolls to all accidents in the district, as well as it can be called for pin in and entrapment accidents in surrounding districts for departments which do not carry rescue tools. 333 has a telescopic Will-Burt light tower, as well as an on board Eagle Air cascade system.

On January 10, 2004 the department dedicated Engine 333 to Chief Perry Davis.  This was the first truck Chief Davis bought during his tenure.
